Our Key Stage 2 Maths and Literacy Programmes provide pupils in Years 3,4, 5, and 6 the chance to thrive in a supportive yet challenging environment. University student volunteers will coach pupils in a 1:3 ratio for weekly sessions over the course of a term in school, helping them to become independent and resilient learners before they leave KS2!

Small COACHING Families

Small group coaching has the potential to add an extra five months learning gain during one academic year. Using coaching methodologies ensures the whole child is supported in a holistic capacity.

REACHING ACADEMIC POTENTIAL

Each session is designed to help pupils develop greater depth and achieve a higher standard. Our Maths strand uses a mastery approach with a focus on reasoning and problem solving. Our Literacy strand equips children with tools evidenced to improve reading comprehension.

UNDERSTANDING HOW TO LEARN

Our sessions are underpinned by growth mindset and metacognition principles, giving children the skills and outlook they need to support their immediate learning and future success. Children are encouraged to reflect deeply, develop new strategies, and stretch their understanding of both their studies and themselves.
