The Role 

We are looking for energetic and conscientious individuals to lead a team of volunteer coaches and support them with the delivery of impactful coaching sessions to pupils in our partner schools across London, South East, South West and West Midlands. 

Role Description

As a Coach Lead you will:

  • Lead a team of coaches at one of our placement schools, this will be either in person or online. This will include checking in with coaches beforehand to confirm they are able to attend and have prepared for the session.

  • Observe coaching sessions to evaluate quality and provide feedback to coaches after the session in the form of a debrief. 

  • Take attendance during sessions and update the register on our CRM system Monday.com

  • Support your Programme Officer with the running of sessions, either on the ground in school or via zoom online.

    • In school this may include:

      • Rearranging groupings if some coaches are absent

      • Checking coaches have the resources and/or printing they need 

    • Online this may include:

      • Opening the zoom link

      • Setting up breakout rooms

      • Ensuring coaches can record their sessions

      • Being on hand to support with technical problems

  • Occasionally support with the delivery of academic coaching sessions if coaches are unable to attend their session (Academic resources will be provided if you are required to do this)

If you are interested, you will also be given the opportunity to:

  • Act as a CoachBright representative at your university during our recruitment periods. This could include supporting with flyering, delivering lecture shout-outs, or supporting a member of our team at a university fair stall

  • Eligibility for a student leadership award at Gold level through the SSAT. This award provides recognition of the skills you have developed and utilised while supporting a programme as a Coach Lead, such as leadership, communication and problem solving. 

  • £180 stipend and travel expenses to be covered
