Jayne Langwell

Jayne is a London Programme Officer at CoachBright.

Originally from sunny Newcastle, she moved to London for her degree in Psychology and Counselling at LSBU. Jayne pursued studies in developmental psychology and became passionate about addressing the inequality that disadvantaged young people face today, particularly after COVID-19. This led her to volunteer with CoachBright on both GCSE and Primary programmes, alongside which she conducted a year-long research study into the mental health benefits of creative therapies on young people during the pandemic.

Jayne is passionate about inclusion and diversity. Following her degree, she worked in primary schools across London as a learning support assistant for neurodiverse pupils and was a manager as part of the ‘OurCamps’ project- an organisation which supported young people from disadvantaged backgrounds over the summer holidays.

Jayne likes Sunday mornings almost as much as she likes chips and gravy. On the weekends, you’re likely to find her browsing vintage markets, digging through record shops, and cooking for her friends.
